Spares for greenhouse repairs and miscellaneous items

At some point in time most greenhouse owners will need to carry out minor repairs to the structure. In most cases this will arise from storm damage and often involves replacing broken glass. At S.J.Adamson we keep in stock a good supply of horticultural glass and we can cut to the size of the
pane you require .Some of the fittings can be blown away and need replacement. Do please try and mend your greenhouse as soon as the problem occurs. Always remember that you could be hit by a further storm soon after which can cause much greater damage and expense if the structure

A. Nuts and Bolts Can either be full headed or cropped and either 11mm or 22mm in length. Cropped bolts are useful for attaching items to the frame after the greenhouse has been erected.
B. Wire Clips Used for fitting glass ensuring a tight flush fit against the glazing bar. Use 4 clips for each normal size pane up to 24" x 24" - 2 each side at top and bottom.
C. Overlap Clips Used where there is overlapping glass. They are preformed one end giving extra glass tolerance. You bend the other end with your hand.
D. Spring Clips These are an alternative clip for holding glass against the glazing bar. They are superior to wire clips but cost a little more.
E. Preformed Overlap Clips A stainless steel overlap clip with preformed top and bottom allowing the glass to overlap by 3/8"'
F. Door Wheels Sold in packs of 2 . Available in three sizes - 22mm, 28mm and 32mm wheel diameter.

H. Eyes Circular eyes provide a means to attach light-weight support for plant development such as tomato strings. Not suitable for lean-to's.
l. Plastic Hooks The most popular product we sell. Easily twisted into place on the greenhouse glazing bar and very useful for tomato strings and other plant support. Not suitable for lean-to roofs.
J .Lining Hooks Used to attach bubble plastic or netting to the greenhouse frame. The plug is pushed through the lining and then twisted and locked into place in the glazing bar.
K. Plant Rings For fitting ties or wires anywhere in your greenhouse.
L. Plant Tie Supports Small aluminium brackets which are bolted to the frame and can take heavier weights than the plant strings. Nuts and bolts provided.
M. Neoprene Glazing Gasket Fits into the glazing bar groove and acts as a seal when glass is pressed up against it. Unfortunately it does not fit all makes of greenhouse. Please bring a specimen of your existing gasket with you or glazing bar so we can be sure it will be OK. for use. Mastic is a good alternative for use in greenhouse glazing and we stock that as well.
N. Cantilever Brace Provides additional strength to the structure when used as eaves or ridge bracing. Available in 12" or 24" lengths with fixing bolts.
